The sport of paintball involves a process of eliminating the opponent. This is done by hitting and "marking" the other player with paintballs.

Although there are several variations of the game, the basic concepts are all the same. Paintball games are generally played in teams. One of the most common variations in the rules of the game is whether or not you "capture the opposing team's flag" or you "eliminate the opposing team's general".
